18:00 New features and improvements in Quarkus 3 by Thomas Qvarnström (Red Hat)
Quarkus is a popular open-source Java framework that is designed for building container-native applications. The recent release of Quarkus 3 brings new features and improvements that make it an even more powerful tool for building cloud-native Java applications. In this session, Thomas Qvarnström, Product Manager at Red Hat, will explore the new features in Quarkus 3, including the enhanced support for Kubernetes native Java. He will discuss best practices for building and deploying container-native Java applications on Kubernetes using Quarkus, such as leveraging the Kubernetes extension, using GraalVM native image builds for improved performance, and optimizing resource usage. By the end of this talk, attendees will have a better understanding of how to take advantage of the latest features in Quarkus 3 and Kubernetes to build and deploy highly performant, scalable, and resilient Java applications in the cloud.

18:50 Exploring the Capabilities and Benefits of MongoDB Timeseries by Johannes Brännström (MongoDB)
MongoDB Timeseries is a powerful tool designed to handle large amounts of time-series data with ease and efficiency. With the growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) and the need to process massive amounts of data generated by sensors, devices, and applications, time-series databases have become increasingly popular. MongoDB Timeseries offers unique features and functionalities that make it stand out from other databases, such as horizontal scalability, flexible data modeling, and real-time analytics capabilities. In this session we will explore the capabilities and benefits of MongoDB Timeseries, discussing how it can help organizations store, manage, and analyze time-series data in a reliable, scalable, and cost-effective manner. We will also cover real-world examples of how companies are using MongoDB Timeseries to gain insights and make data-driven decisions.
